(fuck i thought today was sunday hehe)
we're a little over a week since suichan's break so i thought this may be a good time to bring it up again (some anon already did not long ago too).
as i said in my original post (
>>22668851), i've been thinking of doing a collaborative cover of any of suichan's songs with the hoshiyomi in this thread, assigning roles/instruments to each so we end up with a full arrangement once it's all put together. if any of you play instruments/program/sing and feel like participating, let me know. i think it'll be a pretty fun little project to do during her break, if we can carry it out.
quick notes:
>performances wouldn't have to be perfect, this is for fun after all (and you can always piece together several takes and whatnot).>multiple anons playing the same instrument is fine too.>no real time limit (many of us are busy including me), though if this gets started i'll be doing weekly checks.first step would obviously be choosing a song. her songs are considerably tough to perform, so there's always the possibility of starting with arranged or simplified versions of her songs if that sounds less daunting. of course, i think it'd be interesting if we got creative and decided to go for different genres eventually.
if we get the engines going and we have more or less decided which song to do and how, i can quickly make a crappy midi mockup and short guidelines for each section/instrument. of course, if anyone else thinks they have a good idea for an arrangement and can make their own quick mockup, feel free to share it as well.
on top of doing normal "faithful" covers (i.e. "Kakero with 2 guitar anons, 1 bass anon, 1 drummer anon, 1 anon for melody"), some random ideas for different takes on her songs would be things like "acoustic Tenkyuu", "bossanova Bluerose", etc., or maybe mashups (Jibunkatte Dazzling x Je T'aime?). these are just dumb ideas i had on my mind so they're not necessarily what we would be doing, but maybe it'll inspire another anon to give a better idea.
if interested reply with your instrument and which song you'd want to do. other anons (even if they're not directly participating) can help decide which song to do as well.
(disclaimer: i've never really done a project like this before at least not as being the organizer so bear with me if i turn out to be shit at this...)
(also one anon asked if there's an email they can send stuff to, so i guess that can be helpful so here it is:
[email protected] )
