Ultimately, Brave Group's goal is global expansion but in a market that is already saturated. They know fans have to come from within the vtuber community. V4mirai's second generation happens to be a kinda idol-ish, kinda gfe group of cute girls.
Taking all of this into account, Brave Group's execs devise an evil plan: sabotage Idol corp while providing an obvious alternative to funnel fans to their initiatives. They use the merch deal to force Idol to be less lewd and gfe and Aviel is desperate enough that he accepts. Yuko shutting gfe down in such a retarded way is her own fault. Poko and Coni "get jobs" as an excuse to tone down gfe. Roca will start getting baited with music opportunities to become more of a Suisei type of vtuber.
It wouldn't surprise me if v4mirai's third gen is a lot more cunny heavy than Petalight.
