targeted properly, ads can get you subs from about 10%~15% of views.
that's a very aggressive ad campaign though.
assuming 10 cents per view, they've spent at least $30,000 dollars on youtube ads.
(might be higher than 10 cents per view if you want to get views faster)
compared to that, $2100 for a twitter campaign is peanuts.
