>>80679830Except it's not. Furthest west the Inland Northern accent goes is eastern Wisconsin, it doesn't reach Minnesota. And the furthest north Midland goes is Iowa/Central Illinois.
Minnesota's in it's own north-central accent area with ties to central Canadian and Scandinavian influence. It's a very distinct accent from those around it, not even close to the midwestern accents.
