I think honestly the whole trope is done since it is tied to who you are catering to. Who you are affiliated with. Who you trust. Who you dislike. Who you watch. Who you simp. Who you overly support and who you overly despise.
That and I am starting to feel the avatar on screen is useless space that could be used for more visually appealing aspects in gameplay.
As usual. Those that don't get supported. Disappear and those that do get the spotlight. How it be the natural order of life in content creation would be.
