TLDR: Mashima was on a really shitty place after he finished rave and just wanted to be happy and for all of his creations to be happy, which is why FT is this weird hyper positive friendship inspired adventure. Its interesting to re-read it and feel the warmth of a man just wanting his characters to beat up the baddies
Is it dumb? yeah sure, im not discussing that. However i quite liked how he made the equivalent of smashing his toys together and showed it to the world
