And since you're dealing with characters (with somewhat vague backgrounds) who have emigrated/were born into /nasfaqg/, it shouldn't contradict any future lore these threads make.
You should know how close-knit groups of technicians/experts/researchers/engineers can get. Have fun playing with it, and don't be afraid to kill off some of his team if you want good drama.
