If pekora had simply chosen an uncontested date for her outfit reveal rather than going head to head with a massive nijisanji event it seems to me that she easily could have gotten the last ~10k or so to push her over gura's record.
Instead of doing that and trying to one-up her colleague she directly challenged the nijis just to dab on them instead.
