I get it's fun to call artists babies, but the payout relative to the amount of work required for a submission simply wasn't worth it. The easy rebuttal is, "it was a contest for fans of Vshojo and for fun!" Which is fine, but if that's the case why have such strict rules? Drawing 4-5 members of the members + mascots for the rest is a lot of work. Especially given how unlikely it is that anyone entering would win a paltry cash prize. Like years past, if the rules were relaxed the people who had the passion to go above and beyond would make elegant compositions involving multiple members and would once again be rewarded with the cash prize, and those who were in it for fun and exposure would get a few likes and retweets be happy with that. But asking for an enormous volume of work, for so little, and in such a small time frame simply to have a valid entry was always going to upset people. Even beyond people like 2win and Momo there were plenty others questioning if the terms were fair under the initial announcement.
