A woman's fertility, or ability to get pregnant, declines with age. A woman's peak reproductive years are between her late teens and late 20s. By age 30, fertility begins to slowly decline, and by the mid-30s the decline accelerates. By age 40, a woman's fertility is about half of what it was before age 30, and by age 45, it's unlikely she'll be able to get pregnant naturally.
