>>30917241Here's what I think about all of that. I do believe it is possible for someone to be completely subsumed into the "character," but the likelihood of it is tiny. Because almost all vtubers still have SOME sort of 3D life. They may be a neet, but they still came out of their mother's womb, they still have blood relatives and people they know, they still live at a physical location, and deal with paying bills. Possibly the only way the 2D could be separated (mostly) fully from the 3D would be if the vtuber was simultaneously a COMPLETE shut-in (no job, no friends, no family, no pets, nothing) and also completely financially independent. But even then, you're limited by your biology, because your brain and behavior and patterns of thought and motivations to change yourself and what you're motivated to change yourself into and everything else are ALL a complex interaction of genes expressing themselves. It doesn't matter how far technology progresses, the person you "turn yourself into" will always be a creation of the "person you were," and will be influenced by the desires and creative processes of that person you were.
It is impossible for a creation to create something from nothing. The only uncaused cause is God. You will always be the latest result of a calculation that stretches back to the start of everything, and you can never be completely free or independent of that calculation.
