Schizos hate the idea of unity because they literally are incapable of understanding the concept of friends loving each other unconditionally, regardless of time apart, and despite the occasional difference in opinion. They have become so jaded and mistrusting from their own experiences, that it physically pains them to see others that haven't been dragged down into their crab bucket of self-loathing and mistrust.
They are as pitiable as they are deserving of empathy, because you or I could very well have ended up like them had we also never received the love and kindness of friends and family.
