>>58304754Even diehard fans agree that the Simpsons been shit for decades, but every other piece of comedy written after the first 7-8 seasons was directly influenced by it, which is why it seems bland now. It was that big of a phenomenon. It's like when people say Americans don't have a culture. We do, it's just so integrated into every other western culture at this point that it doesn't feel distinct. It's just the boring status quo.
