No matter how much people want to deny this, their subconscious will always evaluate these interactions based on whether they could lead to sex/procreation and when there's an indication that the woman is taken already, no matter how innocuous (anything from an actual bf admission or simply male x female collab), it will change the way the audience sees her. A lot of them will simply lose interest and start moving on to other talents, even if they can't really put into words WHY they are doing it.
This is why a random woman joining a male only group activity will always immediately change the dynamic of the group. Even though the men most probably aren't doing it on purpose, they all (or at least the majority of them) go into "must impress potential mate" mode.
