>>27460554It does some things pretty well and other things pretty crap. Love it or hate it kind of deal, similar to Deus Ex in that regard. I personally thought the world design, while pretty great and very immersive-sim-y, didn't make up for the clunky combat and traversal. The pacing also left a lot to be desired (text logs are interesting enough to feel necessary to read, but not so interesting as to justify how much of them they are, creating an awkward, sluggish balance) and a lot of the progression is combat-focused, which isn't the game's strong suit.
But I have ADHD so your mileage may vary. The story and setting were nice to soak up and experience. The powers and physics blend with the level and puzzle deisgn in creative ways.
All in all, I can see how some would love the game. I didn't personally.
I have heard that the Mooncrash DLC is better than the base game, and saw it described as a sort of roguelite with a time travel mechanic. Some sort of precursor to Deathloop (that apparently executes the concept far better than Deathloop). Do with that what you will.
I dunno about "reboot", the only thing NuPrey has in common with the original is the name.
