reddit spaces in your fics to make them more readable
I don't read much self insert fics, but I find the use of [____] quite jarring. There are ways to phase sentences that avoids mentioning of names while still making it a self insert fic.
Sometimes it's better to not explain everything and let the reader infer it themselves. Your intention to not confuse the reader is good but it restricts the reader's interpretation of the story. I think it's especially important for self insert fics because it's between (You), the reader and the person you are writing. Plus It was pretty clear from the first half what was going on already, at least to me.
