In the U.S. this would be considered constructive dismissal and would be illegal, but it’s not in Japan so the practice sadly is widespread.Coco wasn't totally isolated or prohibited from really doing her work, but ever since the Taiwan incident she was heavily restricted overall and we just see her streaming on the surface and know not much about how they overall handled her behind the scenes. They did pass a law about pawa hara last year after all attempting to make it a reportable offense etc but I'd think it'd be possible to do it more subtly and not really be noticed for what it is if they weren't straight-up yelling at her.
