Before 2020 both Hololive and Nijisanji debuted talents way more often(both of their JP branches are apparoaching a year with no new talent). Nijisanji had always debuted more though, and obviosuly don't want to keep 3 members to EN for entire rest of the year. They have no reason to worry about cannibalization because for one, the ENs are massively successful by Niji standards, Elira is once of the fastest channels in the company to reach 100k, and for two, more talents means more reach. Introduce a male talent? Attract otomes. Introduce a male pro gamer talent? Attract normal streamer crowd. Etc., etc..
