If you weren't around during the peak of PekoMiko you wouldn't know just how insanely obnoxious PekoMiko shipfags were.
They sperged out at an insane level, started commenting on them interacting with other girls "omg peko/miko will be mad www" etc. etc., diverted attention from their collab partners, made it VERY difficult for them to collab with other girls (to the point where Pekora preferred to play games alone for a while) and generally created an awful enough atmosphere that they had to just cut their on-screen interactions off.
They're both still friends behind the scenes (as shown during the sportsfes interactions), but Migo won't take steps for an on-screen collab unless she feels that the shipfags won't sperg again (and they obviously sperged during the sportsfes interaction, which didn't help).
There's a reason she keeps insisting that Mikomet is a "Business Relationship" multiple times, she doesn't want a repeat of what happened with Peko.
Same shit happened to NoeFure and Okakoro as well, and to this day they still have to deal with retarded comments when collabing with other girls ("omg you're collabing with Miko? Okayu will be maaad~", "omg Noel is collabing with Pekora? *flare staring from background*" etc. etc.).
