I could see it as being the kind of thing where most Sams enjoy the lifestyle of the swamps, but maybe some of them are curious about what it's like to live in the cities of the other regions and end up searching for work there. There could maybe be a fringe /crrroc/ faction that holds more negative feelings about /saga/, secessionists of sorts, those are always fun.
On the other hand people visiting /crrroc/ from other regions would be a bit rarer, mainly because travel there is more difficult. Alongside that, it might have the perception of being a more untamed and dangerous land.
Oh, I think I know what I've been subconsciously channeling, they are a bit reminiscent of the crannogmen from ASoIaF.
