I however do not believe every vtuber should be a corpo or should want to be a corpo. As Urara said, it is more important to see if you would like the people that are there because synergy with genmates is crucial. If you want to go higher but want to remain indie, hire a manager. An actual manager, not someone you know.

Your own clips, your own assets, your own marketing. A corpo provides this in exchange for a cut (or at least should, assuming you didn't join a black one). The main benefit of being an indie is that it can remain a hobby. The second you turn Corpo it's a job, with all that it implies.
You are allowed to hate your job, but if you hate your hobby you are a bit dumb since you can quit anytime. This is the thing you will have to think about the most.
