>>98750447>i just disagree and think people should speak their mind freely.no one actually believes this though even free speech "absolutists" will usually draw the line when it comes to making threats- which means there IS a point in where you shouldn't say things- which i'll extend to even in casual/social interactions because if you're not autistic- even if you can't cognitively know why- you instinctually know sometimes it's best you never speak your mind- depend on context and whatnot- and in the case of shondo i'd say there are plenty of times where it's safe to say people shouldn't speak their mind
also sometimes saying things without filtering yourself can influence your thoughts and the interaction too- so i don't think it's as ideal/romanticized as it's portrayed when people defend saying bad things with free speech idealism when you actually apply it to the real world
