Me too brother, whenever my online american/euro friends start talking about their problems and reasons that makes them want to off themselves I can find 0% of common ground, because it's always some stupid bullshit luxurious reason that is so removed from the reality I've lived in. These people didn't really have a taste of what is real "life on hardmode" hence they've grown so mentally weak and feel tormented about anything whatsoever.
Also I've mastered 40 different skills just because of the stuff I couldn't buy and needed to make myself/repair myself, some of which are the basis of my career nowadays.
Despite not being arrogant or anything, I feel like Hakka went through an extremely similar path, hence why I love this birdman
