I love corruption, someone trying to hold back their urges (and failing), and fantasy, so that has the potential to combine all of those. You could also expand upon the lore of the weapon and what hell is like (and maybe even tie it into someone else's lore). Gatekeepers don't always have to be human either, but if you do get a human model you could always have your custom outfit be a very non-human form. Even better if that form is achieved through the corruption of the weapon.
