She brought her own audience out. This whole situation is obviously something management had no problem with and in fact very likely explicitly OK’ed in order to test the waters and try to build multiple simultaneous and different audiences watching multiple holos all streaming at the same time, instead of relying on the same declining audience they’ve been stuck relying on for the past year or so. More than anything, Gura’s “overlapping” actually benefits Advent by bringing out more people to watch hololiveEN. Inevitably, other hololive streams pop up on the side in the recommendations and many Gura viewers who wouldn’t be interested to check out Advent otherwise probably clicked on some Advent girl’s stream just because Gura was streaming
