We, humans, are pretending to be better than other animals, but incest is somewhat common in the nature. Obviously, not to the point of dying out, but it's so common, your genetics will be perfectly fine from one or two generations of inbreeding. It only starts becoming a problem after that, and for a good reason. If humans had zero incest capabilities, our small tribes would've died out a long time ago.
