The group that wants to be worshipped are usually the ones indicated in that wikipedia article. During the early 90s there was a feminist psyop more or less to undermine trans people by popularizing non-binary and other identities, to not lose women to ftm, and to keep out mtf. This ultra progressive attention whoring is from people that are the realization of that psyop, as well as queer heterosexuals, which is meant to undermine all gender/sex categories as meaningless.
