Male vtubers are hated not for being male but because they appeal to women. This applies to both female fans and the vtubers themselves - people hate that they both appeal to "sisters" and deem them sexual competitors in the fight for their oshi.
Women showing emotion are labelled menhera, and god forbid they express desire for any rules to be followed in chat (such as Ina wishing for chat not to be overly sexual out of the blue) lest they get called prudes or what have you.
But they can't be overly sexual either. Then you're just a whore. Meanwhile male vtubers, even "idols" like Tempus openly flaunt their absurdly low purity scores on Twitter and nobody bats an eye.
Vtubers that appeal to people's hate for women grow at an absurdly fast rate. Pippa also took advantage of this.
So can I blame Lumi and Shondo? No, they just know their audience, and they're making money off of their prejudice.
But unless they're planning on being tradwives I can't imagine this attitude will benefit them in the long term.
I mean, look at how the woman haters and chudcela Pippa associates with have "helped" her - pretending to dox her just to get her called a whore for cheap laughs and going schizo after they discover her alleged leftist leanings.
