Streaming revenue continues to decline, which clearly shows the branch is failing to stop the loss of viewers. Even if merchandise is their biggest moneymaker, the only people buying it are the ones who still watch the talents. So, the reason the quarterly revenue looks higher than the previous one is simply that the few remaining fans (mostly die hardcore sisters) are being milked dry
That’s obviously unsustainable, but it gets worse when you consider that the main source of revenue for the talents is the streams themselves. Without new viewers, the organs are just going to keep losing money until the company figure out how to get new fans... and that's just not happening because NijiEN has become a toxic brand in the west, and even the chinese fans are starting to abandon the boys
So... what’s the plan? The new waves have been complete failures, with the last two performing so badly that two members have already graduated after spending almost a year in the company without making any money, and another had to create a fucking groomercord just to ask her paypigs for money to pay off her debut's debt
Of course, Nijisanji as a whole will survive (the golden years of NijiEN were just a lucky break that no one really expected), but the ones truly getting screwed with no hope for the future are the talents themselves. Even someone like Vox, still one of the top earners in the branch, must have realized by now that this is the end of the road. I can’t help but wonder what someone like Finana thinks, barely making any money while fans desperately try to cope and ignore just how badly the talents are being fucked over by their corporate overlords
