The funny thing about the whole thing is Hololive fan still genuinely have this image of Hololive being the biggest most successful vtuber company even now after the figures are out and they show Anycolor absolutely destroying Cover in making money such that it takes Cover 9 months to bring in the same amount of money as Niji does in 6. Obsessed with meaningless metrics like the individual CCV being high which doesn't even matter considering they're not collecting anything from it.

It's interesting to me how the stock price seems to have nothing in common with how the company is actually doing in a real sense though. Anycolor announced back to back their best results ever in terms of profits and revenues the for the first quarter and second quarter of this year. Yet still there is a big drop off. The only thing I can think of is that people investing based off the first quarter 2023 were hoping to see a huge growth in the second quarter too instead of a more modest growth. Like that is a pretty huge jump from Q4 2022 to Q1 2023 on Anycolor's chart. Maybe they were hyped about the EN branch and thinking "this is international so it could become a worldwide mainstream phenomenon" or something rather than seeing it for what it is, a successful and profitable addition to the business but not a game changer.
