More seriously, there is a very thin line between telling people you love what you love about them and getting more of that, and actual manipulative grooming
If I love your doodles and I tell you so, that will likely encourage you to draw more, I wasn't trying to manipulate you into drawing more, it was just genuine praise, but if I were to try and manipulate you, I would have done the same thing...
This sort of overthinking is why some of our sheepgirls are distrustful of compliments but you can teach people to trust by simply being honest with them.
If being called cute or being praised doesn't come with a "oh and can you please do this for me?" If it feels genuine and not attached to any ulterior motives, it's probably not manipulative.
Don't overthink it, trust your gut feelings like a good doggo would~
Telling people what you love about them will shape them, inevitably, not doing so also does, but I'll tell you about praise-starved insecure chuubas raised by Asian moms another time.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk, I love you
