But for straight women it's often cuz they're youths afraid of heterosexual sex and may find fear in vaginal penetration because it's a man dominating a woman. They don't necessarily self insert as the seme but use him as a vessel to see the uke- the guy they're actually attracted to- in a submissive position. Eventually when women mature and gain sexual experience they get over this mindset(unless they had a bad experience) because they have a more realistic understanding of how it works and feel more in control of their sexuality.
