coming home (you) hear shondo crying from the front door. walking in to her room you go to comfort her before speaking any words and she hits your chest, hopelessly, attempting to push you away. asking her what's wrong she yells through sobs about how everyone leaves in the end and nothing is forever, even (you). oh.. no....
you've been here before plenty of times, you know there's nothing you can do but let her go through the motions. it takes until the usual bedtime for her to be comfortable, or desperate, enough to come out of her room. her face and hair is a mess. she speed-walks over to you on the couch and jumps into your chest, wrapping her arms around you and yours her. you feel the weight of her helplessly weak body, the chill of her flesh on yours, the fragrence of the coconut oil she substitutes bathing with. the silence is interrupted with a weak
"i love you, i'm sorry, i'm so sorry i love you- i love you so much."
comforting and reassuring shondo that it's fine like always and that you forgive her while holding her tighter and petting her head. she explains how today she was reminded that everything has an end and those thoughts got to her again. you can tell she's still bothered by it but no longer distraught. making a bit more small talk while cuddling you carry her to bed while she clings to you, not unlike a spider-monkey. you wrap yourselves in a blanket with shondo laying on your chest, some more talking ensues, ultimately ending with promises of never leaving each other and forever.
"goodnight, i love you." she lifts her head and moves up to give your cheek a long kiss.
it doesn't take long to fall asleep listening to her breaths with your arms around her. you awake in the morning with her face in a smile looking down at you.
"breakfast is ready :)"
she hadn't done that in 3 weeks. your plate is stacked with food and she refuses to let you get up without seconds.
after "enjoying" a sorry excuse for a meal (her cooking is almost criminal if it's not vegetarian but at least it isn't her baking (she intends on baking later today for you as well)) you pat her gargantuan fivehead, thanking her for breakfast.
Finally. Her mood seems good enough. Now that the day has started there's no more need to quell your ambitions. You embrace your *categorically* sinister desire and begin devising today's truly terrible correction for doubting your forever.
