>>65691227I understand that. It's why I don't watch most of Hololive and actively dislike a bunch of them. Sure they may have a measure of success due to being in Hololive, I don't dispute that. But it's what they do with Hololive that makes them interesting to watch. Suisei is going heavy into her music with hololive and MGO, she has mutiple albums and puts in lots of effort for her idol dream. Bae is similar, while she isn't anywhere as big as Suisei she uses lots of her money from HL to fund projects like music, she used her own money she saved pre-hololive and she has a strong work ethic even if the results honestly don't reflect that (I also like her as a person, shes honest, hardworking and sweet, which is similar to Suisei imo). Meanwhile other girls say they want to achieve dream X but won't work towards it. Risu admits she's lazy and won't do karaoke, Kronii says she wants to be a voice actress but I never saw her incorporate that into her content to develop her skills or show them off, etc.
I just like how you are in real time, publically watching some people aim high and give it their best shot with their golden opportunity. Meanwhile others get in and squander it (Gura), only care about the money (Sakamata was open about this from the start), or they jsut give up (IRyS doesn't even care about her own music anymore, I wish she harassed her managers more, but I've given up on her).
It's a big change from the usal hustle culture bullshit where trusst fund kids talk about waking up at 5am to work 16 hour days 7 days a week. Since these girls actually have to put in effort and take risks. It's not that simple as I also personally like Bae/Suisei on top of their work, while others put in hours but I just don't care for them due to lack of a goal (Koyo/Kaela) or a personality I dislike (Kiara, if Ame can build her own studio why can't anyone else isntead of complaining?)
