>>30449643Normally when I teach people with real tiles I use a teaching method that's impossible to replicate online (since it's mostly practice), and Mahjong has a ton of complex rules, it's best to learn the basic ones and the rest over time, learning by doing. Regarding lectures or videos, there are decent ones explaining the bare outline of the rules that are ~20 minutes long, but the best video I know is 3 hours and 30 minutes long.

After that, learning by playing games and from your own mistakes, you slowly get a feeling of the whole game and it kind of clicks, so don't be scared by the complex rules.
