You have to break the game design with villagers to have a shot at building cool stuff. ... Last time I didn't need the best gear to build large cool structures, I had access to Create mod. Thus, I could build farms for a lot of cool things, so I didn't had to mine these blocks in the first place. ... Seriously, I prefer to design a farm in a nice warehouse instead of rerolling a mending librarian for the nth time. Gatcha villagers/enchants for a decent pickaxe you can work with, it gets old after third or fourth time.
