I thought there was something fucky since somebody brought up the Pekora/Gura numbers, so I looked up some random gaming streams that are live on youtube right now, and this is what I found.
Aside from a stream that's been live for 10 hours, no other large streams I was able to find had a greater number of likes than views. From other channels I was able to find with roughly similar metrics to Gura's (similar subscriber count, live for roughly the same amount of time, and producing similar content), other streams had a pretty consistent ratio, with the average live views/likes ratio likely being something between 0.5 and 1.
Gura's stream has 3x that.
This is also something that's been observed with other HoloENs. I can't speak about HoloJP because I don't really watch them.
This can means one of several things:
-The problem is with the viewers: People who watch vtubers have vastly different viewing habits which causes youtube's system to pick up and generate weird stats
-The problem is with the channels: Vtuber channels are somehow getting flagged for certain unique attributes that skew their stats (could be localization, automated content detection, or even manual flagging for whatever reason)
-The data is accurate: People who watch vtubers just really enjoy leaving tons of likes on streams that they don't watch, in absolutely massive numbers
What's interesting is I went onto the few HoloJP channels that were live currently, and their likes/live views ratios were very much around 0.5 - 1. (Pekora even has a ratio of around 0.30 right now). So it definitely seems like the problem is affecting HoloEN more than JP.
