Hello Friends, It's the Original numbers anon here. Since in the past several months I had always done a top 10 /lig/ vtuber round up plus breakdown, I figured I would at the very least keep that going myself, but this month was very competitive so I decided to expand it to the top 15 /lig/ chuubas for August because there's a lot to talk about. I feel this will give a better overall view of what the landscape currently is at.
For those who haven't seen it before, this is the 10 most viewed /lig/ vtubers for the month of August. This does not factor in amount of times streamed, it is pure CCV numbers.
top 10 for August 2022:

Most of this list more or less pulled their usual numbers, but we do have some Risers and fallers to talk about.
Risers:
-Shotou is becoming the most consistently viewed vtuber on twitch including the koreans and Ironmouse. He's a goddamn institution at this point.
-OkCode is probably the most notable riser on the list as he's been consistently getting content that is geared towards his target audience throughout the last month. He's really taken advantage of that and has become a bit of a mainstay of the numbers lately.
-Geega has continued to maintain a slow climb. she's almost consistently 700-800 view for 2 months running, which looks like is more or less her wheelhouse. We will see if it improves whenver she debuts the new model.
-Milky has continued to gain traction and is now consistently 1k ccv for the entire month. She's an official minted /lig/ger at this point.
-Tob is now at 991ccv and is on the cusp of hitting the consisent 1k crowd. Our little skunk is doing it.
Falling:
-Vienna's only streamed 5 times this month, and in those streams she's totally fucking tanked. Her monthly ccv (1,712) is 17th amongst /lig/ vtubers and is an eye watering 800+ viewers per stream drop off. I think the inconsistency is doing her in badly at this point, and if she can't get it together, I can see a way rougher slide than this continuing.
-Ikumi also had a massive drop off. After being in the top 10 the last two months, she doesn't even hit the top 20 (her ccv for the month was barely over 1k), dropping 1.4k CCV in the month of august. However here there is a valid reason for this: this month she has been experimenting with doing more variety content and not just ASMR, her main thing. This is always a hard niche to break out of and usually it entirely kills the ASMR streamer's career when they try to diversify. Now in Ikumi's case, she now knows that she at least has 1k Ride or Die Motherfuckers who are on board with her going variety, which is a positive for her long term, even if the number isn't as fat.
