10k for the IP is clearly extortion, but did those girls put effort and whatever else worth [insert more reasonable price]? Joining a corpo with a state of the art model given to them gave them a push that's hard to ignore, at the end of the day only Kanna added outstanding value to the model and IP thanks to her work ethic and "vtubing skills", the others are pretty interchangable in terms of output, their only merit being not crashing out (which is sad, the bar is that low). It's a similar situation to our gen3/V-dere (and everyone else really), without kawaii they would've have kept being nobodies slaving away in the 1-2view indie mines with a shitty model until someone else gave them a platform or they quit, and we are already seeing the negative effects of not having a "corpo" structure on the more volatile ones. Most ex pixel girls are able to pay, or able to think about paying, that exorbitant pricetag only because of the exposure PixelLink gave to them.
tl;dr without PixelLink most ex-pixel girls would be nobodies, while PixelLink could've easily replicated almost everyone's success just by hiring different people, so did they (ex-pixel girls not named Kanna) really do that much?
