Corporations exist to make money and inadvertently stumble into bureaucracy after a critical mass is hit.
Cover has been a publicly traded company as of March 27th, 2023. The number one thing to their investors is the stock price, not what they're product actually is. Not that these are entirely the same, but if you've watched western cinema pre-2010s, played video games pre-idk, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood really sticks as a good point in my mind so I'll use that, but it's people with money bribing their way into anything profitable and then the culture changes from the top down through middle management to focus on making money. I stole pic related from the pinned thread because I can't resist doomscrolling the pin for my kamioshi's graduation, but I feel like it's a good illustration of the kind of fucking cricket people that investors are.
