>>83157707It's not so necessarily that we don't know how they would speak, It's just that it does not translate well at all to copy their style of speaking. English and Japanese are just too different. Of course, this by all means isn't an impossible barrier, sufficiently good writers can definitely get through this, but it is a great filter, and certainly one that requires grand effort to overcome. One may so "that is only natural", it may seem obvious that only good writers can do good characterization, but this is a different twist on it.
In other words, "it can't be helped~".
