Somehow it just flatlined around 8.2m on Dec 8, going from ~300k/day to 15-20k/day
Also the like count is weird: despite the view count rate falling off a cliff, the like count rate wasn't impacted much (and compared to Orpheus which is only a month older, 85k likes for 8.2m views vs 65 likes for 1.5m views looks abnormally low)
It's not view bots because otherwise we'd see purges rather than a plateau
It's also not a stuck view count, because it IS still increasing
Maybe the algo really is that fickle, but that's such a gigantic drop that I have trouble believing it, plus as I said before, the like count rate hasn't changed much
The only plausible non-algo explanation I can think of is that the MV was featured in some huge YouTube ad campaign and/or trailer video of some megapopular streams/premiers (if that's possible) that ended a couple days ago, though I don't recall seeing any such ads
That would also explain why it suddenly exploded in popularity after 1m views a month ago (ramping up from ~50k/day to ~300k/day)
