>>86173315They'll probably play pretend and continue to play pretend for as long as they can, both Ame, Hololive and the fans will because that's just the best way to handle it.
The only real risk is if NotAme ends up actually becoming more popular and successful than how she was back in the company.
We know what she's capable of and also that a lot of her creativity was held back by management always stepping in and saying no to a bunch of her projects (and this applies to almost every Holomember desu). This upcoming version of her is gonna have all the resources, funds, fanbase support, and freedom that is necessary for her to actually do whatever she's been trying to do this entire time, so it'll be interesting to see where it leads.
That being said, since Ame is still under contract with Cover even after she leaves, part of me believes that there'll still be conditions and/or restrictions that will prevent her from interacting with certain people around the community. Like for example they would probably deny her to be able to interact publicly with Vshojo members due to the recent controversy that's been happening with Froot (temporarily at least), and before people say "she can just do it with her Non-Hololive persona!" Unfortunately that's not how it works because contracts apply to both the Vtuber and the person behind it, Rushia and Matsuri are prime examples of how whatever controversy happens to a Vtubers PL will normally leak over to their Public one and I'd imagine Cover would absolutely do everything in their power to prevent something like that from happening, not because they're mean or oppressive, but because they don't want to give "THAT" side of Twitter the opening they want in order to start questioning + calling out anything Hololive members have done that could be seen as "offensive"
