She probably feels embarrassed and/or uncomfortable singing, especially for prolonged periods with them around. Even though she's good at singing she could still feel some embarrassment or anxiety knowing her family can hear her, she doesn't have a soundproof booth after all. She streams at 1900 CST, literally prime time for EVERYONE to be home and meandering about. It's possible that a kind girl like her would feel bad about being loud and disturbing everyone. She's also stated before how she has a limited repertoire of songs and genres she knows about. It may not sound like a big deal, but for a tryhard perfectionist like Rissa this is a hurdle. So far it doesn't seem like she would sing songs "just for fun," she has to perform them to some standard in her head.
But maybe doing a karaoke once every week or two would be alright regardless? Then the first (full) karaoke stream happens with all the technical difficulties and emotional turmoil that stream caused. She even cried on stream. Not to mention she still has mic issues here and there like random pops, I mean she couldn't even get the mic to work correctly on Vaudeville yesterday. Again, if you're a jailbird you know Rissa is a perfectionist when it comes to the music stuff especially. Days prior to the karaoke she was talking about resting her voice and wearing a scarf around her throat (95 Fahrenheit/35 Celsius in midwest at the time btw) and drinking that special vocalist tea. That stream was possibly her worst anxieties and fears come to life.
So she thinks fuck it, the covers are garnering millions of views, people clearly like them, she can record them in her closet where no one can hear her, plus she can sperg out and min/max the songs exactly how she likes. No mic issues, no brother torrenting Roman history 4k upscale documentaries next door fucking with her bandwidth, no problems.
