>>83217702you level up your character when you make a certain amount of level ups on your major skills, but the attribute increases you get with each character level depend on how many times you level up skills related to that attribute on each level. so if you pick blade as a major skill and level it and only it up, when you character level, you will only get to increase 2 of attributes by one and then strength by like +3 or something, as opposed to the minmax optimal levelup of increasing three attributes by +5 per level.
