The adventurers school setting can offer a fun rivalry / pseudo antagonistic relationship with Shion if she is planned to keep her normal bratty attitude. Her having a natural aptitude for powerful magic can help build up her ego, where (You) might not be nearly as proficient in whatever your planned skills are. It could also be a cute dynamic if you are talented in something that she needs to offset her own weaknesses, despite how unwilling she is to admit that she has them. Since it's a school you could also have a cute little dance/prom at one point at the tipping point of the relationship. I'd also love to see what potential grander ambitions both characters have and the dangers they need to face together.
By the sea, I really enjoyed the first chapter and look forward to more, can't really say more than that.
