Perhaps it could be set in a world that was the battlegrounds for a massive apocalyptic war that took out both civilizations and is still populated by tribes of the survivors who're using the remaining tech, like big mechas and tanks, without knowing how powerful they actually are and other civilizations rediscover the planet after a scavenger fleet gets attacked
