Its super important in general because all the libraries are built around python. If you want to do anything generally or quick, python is what you want to use.
Got some parsing you need doing? Python library.
Boss making you do ML because MLmemes? Python.
Need to do some quick scripts for sysadmin bullshit? Python.
Its not something that will make you tons of money just by knowing it, but it is a necessity if you want to do literally anything.
