>>18168681>everything wrong with e-thots draining lonely men dry while dating someoneI hate to be defending e-thots (of all people) and specially **this** one e-thot (the nemesis of the darling of this blessed numbers thread) but
>pic relatedAmouranth is 100% in the right here.
She is married (I bet most of you guys had no idea of that, btw, despite not being a secret) but the character she plays "on tv" (actually, online) makes a living selling the attention and the external signs of sexual availability to anyone wanting to part with their money.
There is not even an implied promise of exclusivity (given the fact anyone in the audience is sharing the same experience) and, in the vtubers case, there is not even the implied promise of sexual availability (being 2D and all that).
People are trading their money for attention, they shell the cash, they get attention.
It's like paying for a meal: you shell the money, you get a meal, the waitress will be nice and smile while serving you but you aren't even getting an implied promise of anything but the meal for the money you're parting with.
Interestingly enough there is a profession where there **is** indeed a promise of anything more than "attention", it's called prostitution and it's the oldest in the world and equally available for the people with the type of money they're spending on ethots or vtubers
