>>73074674You literally can't "have a place beforehand", unless it's a AirBnB or a hotel, or a student dormitory. Or you crash at friends / family's. Japs won't rent apartments without paying from a Japanese bank account, signing a contract in person, and having a Japanese guarantor (although some Japanese companies recently provide guarantor services). So, best they could do from overseas was getting a temporary shed (hotel, AirBnB, etc.).
But again, finding a stable place to stay shouldn't take this long, unless visa / money /
problems ensued. Or panic, I guess.
